Research Collaboration and Science Communication

The University of St Andrews

Illustrated theses and artwork that supports research by conveying themes and acting as visual anchors for the reader. Using eye-catching imagery to support the communication of science is a pathway to more effective policy, better engagement with research and increased scientific literacy in the general public.

These illustrations were done for the PhD thesis of a student at The University of St Andrews. The research involved modelling predator-prey interaction in the North Sea so as to gain an insight into how external forces on the ecosystem may change fish stocks.
